Meet The Team

Peter Heale trained at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic and graduated with a Masters of Chiropractic in August 2013; whilst there he specialised in treating sports injuries as the resident Chiropractor for Bournemouth University’s basketball and American football teams.

He has a special interest in headaches arising from the neck and slipped discs which can cause sciatic type symptoms; he is knowledgeable about a wide variety of conditions arising from the musculoskeletal system and prides himself on finding the most effective treatment for those conditions as possible.

He attends regular CPD (continuing professional development) seminars and conferences in order to constantly improve the care that his patients receive. As well as Chiropractic Peter is also trained in Ultrasound therapy and various soft tissue techniques and is also a Licentiate of the Royal College of Chiropractors.

Peter Heale is a 2nd generation Chiropractor and was greatly inspired by his father Dr Graham S. Heale DC who founded Heale’s Chiropractic Clinics in the 1980’s and was a former president of the BCA.

Peter is a registered member of the General Chiropractic Council, the British Chiropractic Association, the Royal College of Chiropractors.

Robert Houlston graduated in 2011 from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, upon graduation he relocated to Germany.

He has worked closely with American military Personal, Members of the German Police Force, Physiotherapists, martial artists and professional sports players. He has also experience treating children, pregnant women and in work related injuries.

Whilst in Germany he also worked as a lecturer at Dresden University teaching Orthopaedic Examination and Pathology.

After ten years working abroad Robert has returned to the UK and joined Heale’s Chiropractic Clinics.

He is a registered member of the General Chiropractic Council and the British Chiropractic Association.

Charlotte Cole graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic in 2017 with a first class Masters degree. At University she treated a wide range of patients and has undertaken extra training in paediatric and pregnancy chiropractic treatment techniques and myofascial dry needling.
Charlotte also has a keen interest in health and fitness, sports injuries and helping people to not only recover from aches and pains, but to improve their general wellbeing and optimise their health.

She is a registered member of the General Chiropractic Council, British Chiropractic Association and the Royal College of Chiropractors.

Sonia Gharu qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist in 2015. She wanted to achieve this qualification, so she was able to enhance her understanding on anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology principles. She is specialised in many techniques, including: frictions, METs, soft tissue release, trigger point therapy, soft tissue mobilisations and advance massage techniques.

She also gained an additional achievement, which was graduating as a Sports Therapist in 2015.

Sonia Gharu is a registered member of the International Council of Holistic Therapists and Federation of Holistic Therapists.

Andy Skalecki holds a degree in Rehabilitation and worked as a rehabilitation instructor in the L & D Stroke Unit with PT’s, OT’s and SALT Therapists.

He studied and gained FHT Diplomas in Swedish, remedial, deep-tissue, and sports massage at Barnfield College and has worked as a massage therapist at Heales Clinics for 18 years.

He is very passionate about the benefits of massage therapy and work directly with clients to help them reach their goals and improve their overall well-being by providing a therapeutic, relaxing experience.

Andy Skalecki is a registered member of the International Council of Holistic Therapists and Federation of Holistic Therapists.

Ela Bartos-Gajda is a qualified Massage Therapist with Practitioner Diploma in Holistic Massage with Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology.

Her knowledge allows her to advise patients on range of physiological and biomechanical issues using the appropriate and most effective techniques required for each client, including sports massage, deep and soft tissue massage, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, passive stretching, joints mobilisation.

She has also qualified and worked as a Physiotherapist in the early years of her career which given her skills in assessment and treatment with progression looking at improving patient’s motor skills and aiming for more functional abilities.

Ela is a registered member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and Massage Training Institute.

Chris is a graduate sports therapist from the University of Gloucestershire with a wide range of experience and expertise.

From experience in a professional sport setting to helping maintain daily activities and make living life easier, Chris is passionate that sports massage is a good way to help stay on top of all aches and pains.

Chris is registered with The Society of Sports Therapists.

Max Rahman has over 10 years experience in the private sector and is registered with the HPC and BSHAA (British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists)

Kulvinder Flora is our resident Chiropodist/Podiatrist works at the Hitchin Clinic. Kully qualified in 1990 at the Birmingham School of Podiatry with a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine. She then gained a Bachelor of Science in Podiatric Medicine whilst working full time for 7 years in the NHS in Warwickshire.

Marriage brought her down to Hitchin where she first worked in London before working locally. She has practised for over 25 years at both several NHS and private practices. She has also had experience in her previous roles supporting in Foot Health Promotion, paediatrics, MSK and Podiatric Foot Surgery.

Kulvinder Flora is HPC registered and a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. She has a certificate in Local Anaesthesia. Kully is able to help treat many foot conditions and has given advice and support over the phone.

Rachel has worked at the clinics for over 30 years.

She started working for Heale’s as a receptionist and then took on the role of practice manager over 10 years ago.

Rachel is responsible for the day to day running of the clinics and along with her team of dedicated receptionists ensures our patients receive the highest standard of service.
